Employing a newer, revolutionary laser technology called endovenous laser ablation, the Center specializes in

Dr. Andrew Kwak performs endovenous laser ablation - a far simpler minimally invasive treatment based on laser

The laser energizes the fiber as it is withdrawn from the vein. In addition, ultrasound guided sclerotherapy, or echosclerotherapy, is offered to assist in the elimination of larger, deeper varicose veins and feeding veins that can not be seen by visual inspection. A concentrated solution is injected into the veins under ultrasound guidance, causing the vein to collapse and seal.

Spider Vein Treatment

To treat spider veins on all parts of the body, the LUMEN Laser Center offers both visual sclerotherapy and transdermal laser therapy. Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical treatment of spider veins in which a concentrated solution is injected into the vein that closes it off completely. This is a safe and effective method of treatment for a wide range of veins with minimal discomfort. Based upon your individual vein situation, we have numerous solutions that can be used for the most effective treatment.

Transdermal laser therapy, applied directly to the skin, can also be utilized for smaller spider veins that can be difficult to treat with sclerotherapy alone.

These treatments can be utilized on any area of the body, includingsmall facial veins (or "telangiectasia"), without bruising or complication and varicose veins in the lips (also known as "vein lakes").
